Scholarship Information

Johnston Memorial Scholarship

This $250.00 tuition scholarship is awarded at each commencement service to a returning young man preparing for a preaching ministry. The scholarship is given in memory of 1991 graduate Steven I. Johnston. The scholarship is based on Christian character.

 

Van de Kemp Memorial Scholarship

This $1,000.00 tuition scholarship is awarded at each commencement service to a returning student. The scholarship is given in memory of former student, Jonathan Van de Kemp. This scholarship is based on Christian character. It is given by Bert and Gloria Van de Kemp.

 

Harry Strachan Sr. Memorial Scholarship

This $500.00 tuition scholarship is awarded each commencement service to a returning male student who is preparing to pastor in Canada. This scholarship is given in memory of former Canadian pastor Harry Strachan Sr.. It is given by Greater Vancouver Baptist Church, Vancouver, British Columbia.

 

Keen Memorial Scholarship

This $500.00 scholarship is awarded at each commencement service to a returning student who is overcoming great obstacles and difficulties in order to complete their course of study. This scholarship is given by Dr. and Mrs. Charles Keen in memory of his father, Homer Logan Keen.

 

Haacke Memorial Scholarship

This $1,000.00 scholarship is awarded at each commencement service to a returning young man preparing for Christian ministry. This scholarship is based on Christian character. It is given by Carolyn Haacke in memory of her husband, Dr. Lorne Haacke.

 

Forest City Mission Scholarship

This $500.00 scholarship is awarded at each commencement service to a returning missions student.  This scholarship is made possible by Forest City Baptist Church of London. It is based on the studentís commitment to the call of foreign missions work.

 

Lalonde Overcomerís Scholarship

This $250.00 scholarship is awarded at each commencement service to a returning student who is an overcomer of adverse circumstances. It is presented by Pastor and Mrs. Tim Lalonde and their family. It is given in recognition of their daughter Kendra ó an overcomer for Jesus Christ.

 

Work Loan Scholarship

A limited number of work scholarships are available to select students each semester. Funds are applied directly to the studentís total school bill. As a general rule, incoming freshmen are not eligible for campus jobs. Students must maintain a 2.0 academic average to remain eligible for campus work. Any student interested in the work loan scholarship must request a work loan scholarship application form from the admissions office, and must fill out the form in its entirety. Completed forms must be returned to the admissions office by July 15th.
